Chianti Classico is perhaps the most known Italian wine in the world. Its history warrants it, with a strong legacy in vine growing and wine making for nearly 3000 years. The first time Chianti was attached to a wine, goes back to the 14th century.

Chianti Classico is the most sought of the Chianti, can only be made by grapes grown in the Chianti Classico area and must be kept for at least 15 months before released (the Riserva 27 months). Delicious cherry and earthy flavours with good tannins and a lasting finish, is usually the the main characteristic. It is made in different qualities and styles, by the individual winemakers.

This incredibly successful winery started just in 1999. Their first vintage was released late 2002. In 2003 they entered their wines in the most important Italian wine guide "Gambero Rosso" and immediately Won the highest prize "3 Bicchieri" (3 glasses) and every year since. "Il Volano" is also highly recommended for excellent Price for Quality.
